The Nigeria National Union of Road Transport Worker also known as NURTW has ordered the newly-inaugurated Lagos State body for transportation management in which Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly called ‘MC Oluomo’ was appointed as their chairman to pack all his belongings and vacate the NURTW building at Ladoje, Agege Lagos State.
The chairman of the NURTW maintenance committee in Lagos State, Mr Fatai Adesina who is also known as ‘Akeweje’ made this known during their meeting with the journalist last weekend.
Recall that, the former NURTW chairman in Lagos State ‘MC Oluomo’ has publicly announced that he is no more a member of the association which he did after he was suspended for infringing the rules and regulations of the association.
It was after this that the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwolu made ‘MC Oluomo’ a chairman of the newly created body for commercial vehicle management in the state – Lagos State Parks Management.
Mr Adesina, when he was speaking with the journalists, appealed to the state governor to order ‘MC Oluomo’ and his people to stop trespassing on the NURTW properties since they are no more member of the association.
In his speech, he said it is impolite for someone who has publicly announced that he is no more a member of a particular association to continue using that same association belongings.
“We therefore appeal to the Lagos State Governor to help us order ‘MC Oluomo’ and his people to release everything that belongs to NURTW in their cares including the association money that is with the former executives of the association” Mr Adesina said.
